I have just returned from the lovely service at Lacey Green, and wanted to add my thoughts. Gill was kind enough to offer St John's School twice as a host for the Marlow/Wycombe Chamber Orchestra workshops which I ran: two splendid opportunities for talented young musicians to perform orchestral classic and also concertos: Mozart Flute and Harp concerto with Chloe Rooke and her very own Charlie; and the Schumann Piano Concerto with Leo Munby as soloist. We rehearsed in front of the school children, some of whom had never heard a live orchestra, and I will be forever grateful for her support and willingness to give up time out of her Headteacher's schedule.
